So whose bright idea was it to try giving Justin Bieber half-decent pop songs? We’ll never be rid of him now, you know. As for Adele, still a hell of a singer but her songs still aren’t quite connecting with me. That’s not her fault, I just have a different taste in music to her. I can guarantee I’ll hear worse than this before the month’s out…

…but not just yet. Focus sounds like a song that Destiny’s Child would quite happily have trampled all over other bands to get their mitts on back in the day, and apart from the unnecessary and, frankly, rubbish “Focus on me” parping that spoils the chorus it’s pretty bloody good. There’s probably a really good song trying to get out of Never Forget You – maybe somebody ought to show it how to escape, because what’s here as it stands is OK, but I suspect it could’ve been a lot better.

In2’s all right – it’s pleasant and easy-going enough, but IĀ really like Sax. It’s not a song that’s been designed to deliver any messages, it’s got no hidden agenda whatsoever, it’s just a bloody good way to spend four minutes.

Take Me Home is the obligatory “look everyone, I can also do the slow stuff” single. Heard worse, heard better. Next… oh for God’s sake, him again? Seriously? Not keen on Love Yourself to be honest, it sounds like an acoustic demo to me.
