Oh good, 2013’s begun with a Pitbull single. Great. He’s still rocking the car salesman look, but because the theme of this video is “parties”, he’s changed it slightly and now looks like a car salesman at a company conference in Marbella. He’s like a chameleon, that man. David Bowie’s next… blimey, it’s been a long while since I last said that. It’s a bit dull and slow for me, but it’s nice to have him back, doing what he wants, releasing it when he wants (there was virtually no warning of this song’s release) and to hell with the rules. The fact that it got as high as it did despite being released so suddenly just goes to show how highly regarded Mr Bowie still is. Good work, sir. Drinking From The Bottle, sadly, has nothing new to say.

Kiss You is painfully average, it has to be said. My hopes for Suit And Tie weren’t too high at the beginning either; initially it sounded like it was being played at the wrong speed… and it was, but deliberately. Once the tempo picked up, things improved dramatically. My Life – bloody hell, are these “angry rappers making a comeback” songs still getting in the chart?
