ROLLING IN THE DEEP Adele |
There are worse songs to start a year off than Lights On, and I should know, I’ve now heard thirty-six year openers and trust me, Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick stands out like a beacon.
Do It Like A Dude is aggressive, in your face and incredibly annoying. I think it’s supposed to be taking the mickey, but it does my head in.
Hang on a second, what’s this? It can’t be… it is! JLS have finally gone uptempo! Well, to an extent, but you know, let’s not rush things. Grenade’s… blimey, it’s not bad. Well done, Bruno Mars.
I don’t like Like U Like, and I’m not saying that just to fit the word ‘like’ into the same sentence four times. If you like product placement, then the video for Hold It Against Me may well be your idea of heaven. If nothing else, it’s a welcome distraction from the song. Traktor, meanwhile, is daft as a brush and I like it.
Coming Home finds Puff Da- no, P. Did- no, that’s not right either, Diddy – oh, for goodness sake… Sean Combs in reflective mood and the song’s a good ’un. An honourable mention too for Rolling In The Deep, which is definitely my favourite Adele song thus far.
