“I don’t understand how you’re Number 1” sing N-Dubz. You and me both, N-Dubz, you and me both.

Tiny Dancer should be terrible. I should HATE it. And yet… speeding up the original, giving it a decent beat and bunging some ridiculous rapping over the top has improved Elton John’s song immeasurably.

Hang on, Warrior’s Dance only got to No.9? Bloody ridiculous… which is a statement that applies to Boom Boom Pow, which I cannot stand. If ever a song sounded like it was trying too hard to be cool, it is this.

Fairytale is jolly, sprightly, happy-go-lucky and it won the Eurovision Song Contest. Still, nobody’s perfect. Kiss Me Thru The Phone may be highly unsanitary advice if attempted wrongly, but the song is a massive improvement on his last single… still not brilliant, but what the hell, it’s progress. Red spent four successive weeks at No.5, Daniel Merriweather gives it some welly, and that’s about all I can say about Red. Bonkers is what it says it is, and oddly enjoyable for it too. Tell you what though, there’s not much in the way of new stuff reaching the Top Ten at the moment, is there?
